Graphic Designer – Packaging

Location: Downers Grove, IL

Schedule: Hybrid, onsite Tuesdays

Hours: 40 hours per week

Assignment: 6 months

Pay Rate: $35–$40/hour

Position Overview

A leading sports nutrition company is seeking a Graphic Designer to support packaging, label, and product design for an established sports nutrition brand, with a particular focus on the European market.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer with hands-on packaging experience, strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, and the ability to manage projects from initial design through final production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce packaging, labels, product images, renders, nutrition fact panels, and other marketing materials.
• Create new packaging and label files and update existing artwork while maintaining established brand standards.
• Prepare production-ready files using cutter guides and basic pre-press processes.
• Support packaging and design projects from concept through final approval, execution, and delivery.
• Collaborate with project management and creative teams to track assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
• Work with printers and external vendors to ensure brand standards, colors, and production requirements are maintained.
• Adapt brand guidelines appropriately for different international markets, particularly Europe.
• Assist with creative conceptualization projects as needed.
• Maintain organized design files within digital asset management and file-storage systems.
• Balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.

Qualifications

• Pprofessional graphic design experience.
• Hands-on packaging and/or label design experience.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience working with cutter guides and understanding of basic pre-press processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with creative, project management, and production teams.
• Experience managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Figma experience is a plus.
• Experience within sports nutrition, health and wellness, consumer products, or a related industry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This is a W2 position.
